Copywriting

My writing has led me to work with different businesses, writing copy for their web pages, creating email chains to engage their audience, newsletters and more. I know that having a business is a lot to handle so that’s where I come in, you need words to talk to your customers and I have the right ones for you.

Brief: Revamp old website! Create a 5 page website to showcase our story that lets funders know who we are and what we do.

What I did: Using WordPress CMS, I created a sample website and wrote content for each page after consultation. This helped me to effectively tackle each page such as About, workshops, deaf screenings, and hire as well as gathering as much research from previous website.

Brief: Write A newsletter on a few tips and advice on PREP and a summary of the main events that have occurred recently

What I did: Conducted some research on the topic of PREP and explored the episodes produced by the MTV Staying Alive Foundation on this topic. I also interviewed the director to get an overview of a recent event and read articles in depth to gather more information. Additionally, I communicated with international departments to gather information on any recent successes that can be included in the newsletter.

Content writing

My writing has led me to work with different businesses, writing copy for their web pages, creating email chains to engage their audience, collating events for their newsletters and more. I know that having a business is a lot to handle so that’s where I come in, you need words to talk to your customers and I have the right ones for you.

Brief: Write 4 blogs for our new website to increase website visibility and traffic this should be within the business and tech space

What I did: Compiled a list of 10 topics related to web-design, business, and tech space. Out of those, I selected 4 topics which cover CMS softwares, growing your business, and branding. I divided these into 3 tasks:

  1. Collect as much research material as possible on each topic through articles, blogs and research papers.
  2. Write as much as I can on each topic (Forget about corrections at this stage).
  3. Proofread and edit the content to ensure its accuracy and readability.

Brief: Create a post to advertise the conference the organisation will be attending as well as write a caption that gives more information of the event.

What I did: I collated all assets that fit the theme for the event. I then headed over to Canva to create a plan, adding the brand typography, brand colours, and other information. After coming up with 3 different designs, I got some feedback and finalised everything ready to be posted!

Brief: Write 1 or 2 paragraphs on Pride Month for the MTV Stay alive website. Be as creative as you’d like!

What I did: I delved into some research on the topic of pride. I went through various resources such as history books, articles, and videos. Then, I wrote out an article using the brand’s tone of voice. To enhance the article, I sourced video assets that demonstrated the image of the text created. Finally, I used the software DaVinci Resolve to edit and render out the video. For publishing the content, I utilised the CMS platform Wix to create the website.
